Ground firing test of qualification type motor of improved SRB-A (No.1)

Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) conducted ground firing test of the qualification type motor of the improved Solid Rocket Booster (SRB-A) (No.1) in the Tanegashima Space Center on November 9th, 2004.
The purpose of the test was to prove application of the configuration, which was reflected the measures against the Flight No.6 failure, to the flight type motor and the configuration of the tested motor was same as the flight type motor. The proper results almost equivalent to the planning were obtained again as similar as the last data acquisition test with bell-shaped nozzle conducted on September 16th, 2004.
